A key aspect of relationship building where Joseph thrives is in his ability to manage volunteers. The most difficult task a manager faces while running a campaign is ensuring volunteer involvement.  He first trained the volunteers for their tasks but, perhaps even more importantly, offered advice and encouragement regularly throughout each campaign which proved valuable for the volunteers and the clients, too.
